Ink and Needles

Self expression is one of the most vital rights we have as human beings whether we know it or not. Without it there would be no literature, music, or art. These are all things that are fundamental in defining the history of humanity. In my eyes there is no form of self expression that is more interesting than the art of tattooing. Tattooing is a tradition that predates the biblical Christ and one that has evolved heavily over the years. Tattoos have gone from symbols of religion and wealth, to symbols of rebellion and peace, and everything in between. This project serves as a look into the world of tattooing, so that we can understand how far this art form and right to self expression has truly come, and how those involved so deeply within the culture understand it today. This Project is currently ongoing

Southwestern car culture

.

Around the world there exists a whole subculture where cars are more than just objects used to get from one place to another. They are an extension of the person behind the driver's seat, and most importantly they are living, breathing beings to these people. Cars are a way for that person to express themselves in ways that they wouldn't normally be able to. When someone has worked so hard on their car it is no longer just a car, it's a family member. This sense of connection and expression is what inspires me in automotive photography and is something I've attempted to capture throughout the years. I try to seize not only this feeling, but the honest beauty of cars themselves. Automotive culture in the Southwest is very unique, from a brand new modified BMW M3 to an old school hot rod every car is different, and tells its own story. *This project is ongoing*

R-E1x

To everyone who got their hopes up for this new revolutionary camera, that was never my intention. This project originally started as a study on the world of product pirating and the spread of misinformation on the internet for a pirating course. The intention was to see how far the product could grow only for it to be revealed that the whole thing was not real to begin with. Obviously, I knew there was going to be some disappointed people, but overall it seemed like a harmless project. I never expected the project to grow into what it did. This project made me realize there is a large community of photographers who would really look forward to something like this actually existing. Who knows maybe some day someone will see this an make it a reality! - Josh
